Winzergenossenschaft Königschaffhausen-Kiechlinsbergen - Über uns

About us

The winegrowers’ cooperative

Distinct individuality

The Königschaffhauser and Kiechlinsberger winegrowers attach topmost priority to quality. Their aspirations are achieved through strict quantitative limitations and the distinctive individuality with which wine development is carried out. The Burgundy vine types grow on over 70% of the total vineyard acreage.

The grapes for our premium wines of the Selection and Barrique series are harvested from the best vineyards that are over 25 years old. These vineyard plots are cultivated according to strict guidelines.

To achieve these high quality objectives, the quality manager supports the vintners during the entire growing season so as to limit the yields to 60 kg/plot. The yield reduction is monitored by him personally. Each vineyard is monitored individually and the quality of the grapes is assessed. Only the very best grapes are used for our Selection and Barrique wines.

The Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot international vine varieties are assigned to the respective vineyards for planting in accordance with your respective demands on the terroir.

Our customers value the very high quality of the red and white wines from Königschaffhausen and Kiechlinsbergen which is repeatedly confirmed by successes at national and international competitions.

The great tradition and experience in the production of sweet wines and barrique wines has made us one of the leading producers of these specialities too. Despite all this tradition and experience, we do not however forget to handle the latest developments concerning viticulture and cellar processes with openness and hence to safeguard the income of our winegrower families in the long run.

The Winegrowers’ Cooperative Königschaffhausen-Kiechlinsbergen is currently being supported by 650 members. They cultivate 330 hectares of winegrowing land in very good locations. The grapes produced in these areas are processed by the cellar team into outstanding wines and marketed successfully by the management and the sales team.
